- The nature of this engine and this chassis is such that it feels quicker than the Vette and it carries out its business in a much different (and more entertaining) manner - It's much more comfortable to drive in terms of NVH. The corvette was actually quite good in this department given that it was essentially a race car for the street.. but there was a lot of road noise and general commotion when driving it - The stares it attracts are of better quality than the Corvette. As a guy in my early 30s I would rather have hot 25 year old women staring at me than being hit on by 55 year old women and/or hearing everyone middle aged average guy's story about "Oh yeah i have a buddy who has a corvette..." it was starting to get old In regards to the C63... let's be honest.. Mercedes builds BORING CARS. The C63 is an absolute beast and is faster than the M3. It sounds like a boat the way it gurgles and belches. It scares small children.. the 6.2L AMG V8 is a marvel of engineering and the best engine Mercedes has ever produced.. and probably the best naturally aspirated V8 they will ever make. But it doesn't FEEL faster and the transmission is no fun.. it's an automatic with a torque converter regardless of the paddles. This makes all the difference in the world to me. I'd take the C63 to the dragstrip.. but the M3 everywhere else. The only mod I have planned for the M3 is an exhaust.. and I assume there is a cold air intake mod. Other than that I'm happy with the ride height and quality and I don't want too deep a tint... I think the Fox Red interior needs to be seen. Wheels and tires are an option, but that's something I will think about next season.
