Front turn signal LED?

does the computer give an error if its not connected?
i hate the way it looks and i know its a bitch take out
but
would it be possible to gain access to the 2 wires leading to it?
i am sure if i gave those 2 wires 24volts i'd blow the little sucker
even if i have to take out the regular bulb if they share wiring, so i don't blow that
and if the computer doesnt give a bulb warning after it blows
then problem fixed

Not sure but considering you get a warning for almost anything you disconnect i would assume so. check here...

The LED and bulb have separate wiring, and removing the turn signal will cause an error. If you pull out the LED wiring via opening the headlight unit, there won't be an error.

side LED

I just don't see why so many people hate it. Doesn't bother me at all. It does let other cars see you from the side, as well (it's purpose is as a side marker).

Does he mean the side marker or the turn signal in the headlight?

this one

the reason i hate it is no european car comes with amber lights in the front
its only in the US that you see amber in the front
amber to the rest of the world signifies a turn signal
does anyone know the colours of the wires going to the LED?
maybe i can just unplug one of them

+1

Totally agree here. I'm a big fan of having white lights too, but I actually like the orange LED. It does serve a purpose for people at night know it's the front of a car not the rear which is red. Also I think it looks really cool at night. Perfect little dot showing the outer corner of the car.

That's US law and that's reason they are there.

Not everyone knows what halos are. They are parking lights and people don't always have their headlights on.

well in the daytime i don't think they serve any purpose
and if most people have the auto setting on their headlight
so when would you only have them on?

so even if you meet someone who doesn't know what a halo is
i am pretty sure they can tell which part of the car is the front and which part is the back
as for US law
i think the majority of people don't have their front plates (in the states that require them)
and i am sure pretty much everyone here has gone over 55mph
so respecting US law is not high on our agenda

Do as you please. I was just stating the reason that LED is there in the first place. I'm not one to tell people what laws they should or shouldn't follow.

Nice post Eclipse! Sigh, we're STILL working on making a bulb replacement for the main turn signal.
