So ... what I see is two vendors with different opinions and methodologies to each of their tunes ... nothing wrong with that .... both of them seem to stand by their product and seem to have fair reasons for doing what they do ... nothing wrong with that .... I also see people running either tune n happy with what they have .... so far so good ....
So the only fight is about who has a bigger ****?? I'm bone stock for the last 67K miles that I have had the car n I'm pretty happy with what it does .... to each his own I guess To BPM n Gintani - in y'all's arguing ... there was a lot of useful info that came out .. so thank you for that .. n I'm not being sarcastic |

Gintani, it's pointless to bring sense to these threads
Anyone can do a google search for certain people's names and find records which tell you everything you need to know about them. Yet people will get their cars reprogrammed without doing 10 minutes of google research, it's sad and a little scary And yeah, threads are deleted all the time when vendors look bad. Some of us have long memories though and remember things. It's no use though, people don't want to learn. Anyway, to each their own. I admire your restraint in not coming in here earlier when you were being badmouthed. I miss the good old days when vendors didn't publicly try to humiliate other vendors. It's extra funny when the vendor initiating the bashing turns out to be flat out wrong like the case of those minimum tables and all. Best part of this post is that I don't even like you guys, but I have to stand up for you when you're clearly right. Keep it up. |

I've had the Gintani E85 flash for about a week now. No issues at all running Full e85, the engine runs much smoother and doesn't lose any power going through the gears. The temperature is always below 210 degrees even while blasting A/C and shooting 2 feet flames on command on a 90 degree day.
Easily the Gintani Tune is best mod I've done to the car I would try to compare with the old BPM tune but I never received any cable or tune files from BPM.

I can't believe this is happening here some of us like burble tune and some of us doesn't its all personal reference. Gintani explained it wouldn't damage anything Mike says It would. I can say one thing every car acts differently same exact mods can make different power but of course not much it can be due to worn injectors, coils, spark plugs, etc.. But lets just be serious here on any NA engine cars tune is not gonna make crazy difference so What I am saying is you can't really say going from tune to tune is making a monster power. Its just impossible thats because you can't feel 1 digit horsepower on these cars. And imho all tuners here has to adjust their pricing. For NA engine tune is not worth $1000. It doesn't mean that we all rich thats because we are Driving M3 E9X's. "TUNE SHOULD'NT COST MORE THAN $600-$650 COME ON"..

Burble tunes are obnoxious and unnecessary. A little bit of overrun on a turbo car fine. But on a NA V8 M3, no thanks.
Your car will never sound like this, unless you get straight-cut gears! |

I know the cars in the video have serious modifications and that a tune doesn't produce those menacing sounds :-).
I am surprised that know one has pointed out that our NA V8 already burble and pops. Mine burbles when go full throttle and back off the accelerator to allow just enough fuel to be applied. It always pops when I upshift but it isn't explosive as in the video. I do it and I love it. When I had the AA muffler I'd make it last for 5 seconds and sometimes more and when I upshift somewhere above 4500rpm, I get the pops on the video but it is extremely subtle. With my MPE, I can still produce the overrun but no longer hear the upshift pops. |

Not on a beautiful v8, IMO, plus its not like you have to burble it all the damn time like the m4s do in low rpms, mine would cut off at 5k rpm so if i didn't leave it in gear or drove in D, you would never hear it burble, just saying.
