It's not just that. My garage at the new place is maybe 70% as big as the old one. I'm missing the old one. Going to try and set some shelving up this weekend.

I could move things around if you really don't, but it's kinda rough.
You've been to my place so lemme know which space would be more ideal as far as accesibility with tools, time, etc... My weekends are pretty busy in July but I want to get it started beginning of august and have all the parts ordered and ready to go by then.

There's this one local who's selling his 2.7 stroker motor for $700. Your thoughts? I saw it on norcale30

I'd really rather do it at my place because of tools, but I'm going to need some help cleaning up, haha. I'll be busy in July trying to take care of my swap, so I'm shooting for August, too. We can order parts before then.

Well, the stroker can be tuned for a little more power. Depends on whether or not you want to spend money on it. Would you still want to put your i-head on it and check/rebuild that 2.7 bottom end?

Here's a 2.7 turbo stroker, btw:

i'm trying to spend as little as possible so if i was to get the motor from him for like 500 i probalby wouldnt want to rebuild it which would cost more. I'd rather just rebuild the m20 i have sitting in my garage and boost it later on.

i think it's better to do it at your place and im willing to help clean up before i bring the motor back. I guess I can order some of the parts before aug like the MLS head gasket and lower pan gaskets etc.. but the other stuff Im thinking that we wont know till we take it apart?

So would you just want to swap in the 2.7 as-is in the meantime while we rebuild the 2.5?

Ok, I'm going to need to get rid of a couple of motors, too. Still have that broken S54 parts motor and the old M20 bottom end that I need to send to the metal scrappers. Until then, you should get a complete set of gaskets and seals, including the MLS gasket. I have a list of part numbers from Zoeb's project if you need them. As far as other stuff goes, we'll have to wait and see.

no im going to pass on the 2.7 and just hope my current m20 holds up. It seems to be eating up more oil than before so i'm keeping an eye on it every few days. But yeah if you can give me the list of part numbers that'd be great so I can start checking out what I may need. Thanks!

Ah, I see. Keep it topped up with that 20w50 high mileage goop!

I'll forward that list when I get home.
