Hi all,

I am about to retrofit this Individual Audio set up into my car (with OEM Individual amp and Individual wiring loom) into my E91 Touring.

I will use the posted E90 settings as a starting point I think and go from there.

Does anyone know about the CIC being coded with Bang & Olufsen? I have seen it with the individual audio, and wondering if it affects any sound processing from the head unit?

No love for e93. Not even "we don't know"

That is weird since the Individual Audio isn't a B&O system, it's Dirac.

Oh wow. Never seen that on non-F platform 3 series. I don't even think the F80's got B&O. It could be regional, but in the States the F10's only got the B&O option, IIRC.

To answer your question, though, you really only have one option here - and that's to have another CIC with the proper Dirac system installed and coded into your car to hear it out for yourself. Otherwise, it's honestly anyone's guess.

They didn't. It's the Harmon Kardon system.

I have the Individual Audio fully retrofitted into my car now.

The B&O menu turns out to literally just be the name at the top of the screen. The guy I bought the whole kit off said he had coded it there just for the looks.

Naturally, I didn't bother, as the system is not a B&O one!

In terms of needing a new CIC - this is not the case. The CIC is just coded to Option code: S752A which changes the output signal to be sent via MOST.

The Individual Audio amp is the thing that does the work (DIRAC etc), once it receives the MOST signal from the HU (CIC).

System is in, like I say, and it sounds great!

How do these settings translate to an '08? I have +/- 12 on either side of 0 suppose I could use absolutes and move it around with trial and error but I'd like to hear what is supposed to be optimal first.

I leave the factory settings. Changing them to any of the recommendations made it worse.

Hearing is subjective so adjust it to what sounds best to you. The notion of "flat" sound, per the OP's EQ settings, isn't something everyone likes -- most people have been listening to heavily EQ'd music their whole life so they're conditioned to expect that as the norm. The whole point of flat response is that things sound accurate (as the artist and mixer/engineers intended).

Leaving the EQ adjustments at 0 (middle) is not the same as flat response, it's just a flat EQ.

They most likely have a very low quality media file.

Bringing this thread back from the dead. Just bought a '12 e92 and with these settings they made the system sound so much nicer. The previous owner had the weirdest settings on, so I was riding around with everything on default. After trying these settings out, I have to say it sounds 10x better. Just add a high quality cd and crank up the volume!

I suggest throwing a Bavsound Ghost Subwoofer package in there, it gives it that extra 10% that was missing from the factory!

Whats the score with the Ghosts?

Do they honestly improve the system as much as people claim?

Sound is highly subjective. I think they were a nice improvement over the stock EPS subs. They have a very generous return policy so I'd say get a pair if you're on the fence -- you can always return them.

Malek.... thank you for your contribution.. my system was set to default and i had been listening to music like that for awhile now.. tried this setup and all i can say is WOW. I am blown away with the sound system when dialed in correctly. The music is ALIVE!! Thanks again... now i am torn between listening to my s65 climb to 8400 rpms, or cranking up the volume.. first world problems i suppose ? haha

Hey dparm did you ever try amping the stock woofers?

I'm thinking about amping them with a trunk sub. Seat woofers will be crossed high pass at 70/80 Hz.

The more I listen though the more I realize the non defeatable eq is the problem. The woofers aren't even horrible but they don't output enough until you crank the system and by then the tweeters are too loud shrill

I have noticed that with these settings it is a little hard to hear talk radio and vocals without turning it way up. Would I increase treble to fix this to my liking?

I found them to be worst. They lose the range the OE woofers are capable of providing.

It's near Halloween, thought I'd raise this from the dead! Any recommendation for individual settings for e91?
