Is the incentive to just move as many cars as possible as BMW will reward the dealership with more cars?
Dealer holdback
An allowance, usually between 2 percent and 3 percent of manufacturer's suggested retail price, that manufacturers provide to dealers. A holdback allowance may allow the dealer to pay the manufacturer less than the invoice price. A buyer could obtain a car below invoice price and the dealer would still make a profit.

08 n blacklines FTW! I was in the same situation a few months ago. Honestly if u know how to use the 08 i drive, the new one is just more confusing. Now if u suck at using the current i drive then the 09+ is easier to use. As for the tail lights, if u really want them u can update them down the line but u have to buy them and a new trunk. This means u can save some weight n buy a carbon fiber one.

Well that's what I plan on doing if the updated tail lights ever come in the black line version.

Don't dealers use the truck when they transport the vehicle from one dealership to another?

Personally, I think 120 miles is too much miles for a "new" car

Per MotorAuthority:

"the BMW M3 residuals, which tends to be around 60% after year passes..., the M3’s were never known for holding their value too well, and according to the latest residual values published in January, the BMW M3 Coupe has a residual value after 24 months set at 56% and at 36 months, 50%."

Based on this you'd buy after 1-year if all you cared about is paper losses. My partner does this with all his car purchases.

If it's within a 2-3 hour drive, the dealership will usually have an employee (..usually the salesman) drive the car from one location to another. I've known salesmen who have driven to San Diego from Irvine/Buena Park/Long Beach to pick up a vehicle. That's an easy 120+ miles. If a customer has a vehicle transported via truck from one location to another, fees are typically assessed to the customer (..unless negotiations stated otherwise).

As for the miles being too high for a new vehicle, that all depends on your perspective.

I totally agree and with the OEM blacklines it looks awesome!
