will non-staggered tires work????????

i tried ordering 255/35/19 all around, but tirerack said it will mess up the traction control. true or false?

No it will not.The winter tire size from BMW is a 245/40-18 setup is obviously a non staggered setup.

No it will not.The winter tire size from BMW is a 245/40-18 setup is obviously a non staggered setup.It will change handling balance of the car however.

Some cars with staggered diameters and traction control will have problems if they run a square setup (G35 coupes were the most notable, some cars would be immobilized by the traction control if front and rear wheels were switched).

it seems to be OK so faron the M3.

The person you spoke with was probably being conservative, because there is nothing official yet that says "square setup with equal diameters is OK". Edit: When I said nothing official, I meant *nothing official on the Tire Rack database for the M3*. Sorry for any confusion

I've driven for a few days with a square tire setup (275/35-18) on all four corners. No problems at all.

Sure its official,its in the manual and the tire information sticker on the pillar.

Sorry, I was not specific. There was nothing official *in the Tire Rack listings for that car* that said square setups were OK. So if he had not read the manual, or been on the forum, he could easily not have known.
