I don't know what's worse. The fact that someone actually stole a "Prince'd" out Buick, or the fact that someones double parking a stripper e350 soft-top...

I'm still trying to figure out what's going through this woman's head. She's been parking by me for a long time now but I never ran into her because I come in at all different times, and she does not work at my company. Finally I saw her on Tuesday.. All this time I figured it was some dumbass young chick but it turned out to be some middle aged woman.. Sad man, just sad..

LOL yeah I take it the US economy is doing really well
... I mean they are asking for a high level of education and giving a starting salary that is slightly better than what an average bachelors degree would have got you a few years back.. Meanwhile I see many young people now with bachelors degrees starting at $38k-$42k a year, and they are lucky to find a job.. And this is the NJ/NY area we are talking about here.

If I had a Phd from a top tier school, I would probably punch them in the face if they offered me $65k. That probably wouldn't even put a dent in my student loans. Let alone paying loans and trying to live on your own.

For as insecure as he/she seems to be, you'd think they'd rock a better car than a budget ass C250 coupe.

I don't even have an MBA and if I were ever offered $65k, I'd be inclined to punch them in the mouth.

Yes a "do nothing bitch", NJ is overflowing with them..

You got ones like this:
What do you do currently?
"I'm not working right now..
Where do you live?
"Umm yeah I live at home with my parents, they support me.. "
How old are you?
" I'll be 30 next month....."
Did you ever work?
"yeah i had some jobs when i was younger.. I bartender at my last job but they fired me cause I always fucked up the cash count. I'm not good with math"
Ok.. Thank you.. No I will not be calling you.. NEXT!!

Then you got this one..
What do you do?
"I'm a stay at home mom.. My husband supports me.."
How old are your kids?
"12 and 14"
So what do you do when your kids are at school?
"ummmm I go to the gym, go for some yoga, and hang out at Whole Foods in my hot Yoga pants.."
Thank... Next!!

Exactly. It's really an uninformed or delusional employer who writes that type of description but I'm really shocked how often I see it. My $65k was a slight exaggeration, but $80k isn't. I've seen it many times. A Phd from a top tier would be close to $500k in educational costs. Paying for that with $50k after taxes would represent like a 40 year payback. GFY.

This is a carbon copy of the women here. Hell half of the women I know around here fall into the upper half and they see it as perfectly fine. The only other thing I'd add in there is that they make some comment about their barre classes. In fact sometimes they complain that they're tired of spending daddy's money and need to find a man to take care of them.

Sad really, but these are the same idiots who later complain how men don't respect them.

Depends on the PhD and field. Some areas require more professional school experience, while other value experience. $65K for a new PhD college grad is not unheard of or is it unreasonable. The problem I experienced is that new grads come out with expectations of +100K with a Ivy League PhD in chemistry, when in reality their experience was worth $65K because they had no real world application. I'm former C-level and technical recruiter who worked with fortune 500 companies...

Or maybe he's so smart that he doesn't want to spend all of his money on cars. Don't hate on the him because he's proud of his commitment to education. I applaud him and hope that it encourages someone else to try harder in school.
