Just went to Carmax - they are offering $48K. If I have no higher, serious offers before next Wednesday, Carmax will get the car - I would rather see it go to an enthusiast and fellow forum member, though!

Sterling -- I need to take the springs off for the full offer (I got a formal offer of $43K as is, but they told me to bring it back stock and I would get about 5K more)

I couldn't believe the springs dinged the value that much, but CarMax is big on being able to sell in OEM condition, naturally--so it's going back to stock later this week if no one makes an offer before then. I hate to dump such a pristine car on a dealer lot (I'd rather see it go to a board member/enthusiast)--but the car needs to go soon. The rep at Car Max was raving about the condition of the car.

I know, for that price I hope someone here picks it up, instead of it getting sold for like 8k more on the lot. Yea my boy with a isf went there too and they gave him like 29k since he has Eibachs on too. Did you try putting it up on e90 and bimmerfourms? Good luck with everything. Let me know what you end up doing!

I've only posted here--every car I have closed a deal on in the past has been sold here - the rest ended up with people who were not that serious about buying the car. Life is busy - two businesses, new baby on the way, etc.... so time is money to me. I'm more than happy to let it go to Carmax for 48K--it's a fair trade-in value and there's no risk in terms of money or wishy-washy behaviors--30 mins out of my day and it's done! I need to move the M3 and my ML550 to make room for (hopefully) an LR4 to carry the expanding family. Thanks for the support and good luck with your sale as well!

I'll miss having the car, but will still be part of the community as a sponsoring vendor in the coming weeks
