Question Home AV Guys, need your help! About to pull the trigger

Hello, I am very close to pulling the trigger to get my condo electronics underway.

Here is the current situation:

Audio:
Living Room: 5.1 setup, speakers already in wall
Dining: 2 speakers already in wall
Kitchen: 2 speakers already in ceiling
Hallway: 2 speakers already in ceiling
Master Bed: 2 speakers already in Wall + 1 sub in Wall
Master Bath: 2 speakers already in ceiling
Guest Bed: 2 speakers already in wall + 1 sub in wall
Guest Bath: 1 stereo speaker already in ceiling

TV's:
4 total, 1 in living room, 1 in dining room, 1 in master bedroom, 1 in guest bedroom.

Inputs: 2 HD cable boxes, 1 first gen apple tv, + (ipod dock/satelliteradio)

Everything is already pre wired with component and single cat 5 wire from the previous owner.

My shades are Lutron Sevoia QED and my lighting is Lutron Homeworks Series 4.

The plan is to have one dedicated remote and an iPad with application. Control will be the Elan G! system and will integrate my lights + shades.

I am new to home electronics, please let me know if this makes any sense and what you would change / do differently.

Thank you very much!

I've read that HDMI carries superior audio than the other digital or analog options. I wired my house with dual HDMI to four rooms. My cables came from Monoprice.com and so did the HDMI switches and splitters. To do it again, I would use all 3D grade stuff (I think it is HDMI 1.4 rather than 1.3B that I used).

yes. After taxes it comes out to that much. and i can assure you that it is worth every penny. there are other routers out there, but all quality routers with dual band are expensive. I saw a linksys for $155 the other day.

new2the3, is this the quote from John?

I'd take that router over apples. Also having USB for network attached storage doesn't hurt either.

I have a WNDR3700 with DD-WRT firmware. Wireless radios on those things are garbage. Complete garbage. Had it exchanged 3 times too.

All AirPort routers (including Express and TimeCapsule) have USB ports on them and radio is far superior to any other router i've seen, used or installed.
