M3 corner bulb installation.

I tried to take out the bulb through the jlevi installation video. I was able to take off the front panel to expose the socket. I turned the socket outward like the video said, but the bulb will not pop out. Anyone in socal can help me out?

Normally the bulb should come out easily after you turn the socket to the right. Be careful though, forcing it too much can cause the bulb or socket to crack the plastic, which can require you to buy new pieces.

Is it both sides you're having trouble with, or just one?

I only tried one side so far because my hand was getting irritated with the wheel in the way. I turned it all the way to the right as much as I can, but I pull it and it doesnt budge at all.

Be patient and keep at it. Like he said, don't crack the plastic pieces. I have bright white replacement bulbs on my car.

You can always take it to EAS and have them install the bulbs for you.

turn it counterclockwise until it stops then pull the socket out. Getting it out with the wheel is the easy part, putting it back is the challenge.

Yes, it's the same as Bimmian. I very rarely get a turn signal malfunction when I start up the car in the morning when it's cold outside. It notifies me and clears/goes away immediately.

This can easily be coded out.

Its easiest if the front wheels are removed to gain access to the rear of the headlight.

If you are having trouble, we can install them for you.

Jack the car up an remove the wheel. It is much easier in the long run.

Which bulb are we talking about here? The AE bulb? The cornering light bulb? Turn signal? There seems to be advice regarding all three going on in here...

Doesn't happen often enough for me to care... Less than once every few months.

get some needle nose plyers to help you out. I had the exact SAME problem, my fingers were red before i grabbed plyers and twisted it. Just be mindful of your strength and use the plyers to grab as much surface area as possible of the part where you twist the socket out

I got the bulbs off here http://www.highperformancebulbs.com/...py24w-led.html

One caveat is that the LED aftermarket bulbs like these, the contacts don't quite fit into the socket. One of my contacts actually broke off from the LED circuitry when I was fitting it into the headlight housing. No big deal, I just soldered it back on and put a dab of hot glue to reinforce. Then it went in fine. I was wondering why I kept getting bulb out error when i drove out one day and when I knocked on the headlight, it went away.

Other than that they work amazing, no errors under normal operations. **NOT AS BRIGHT* as regular filiment bulbs though, but does its job. (I know, it says it's brighter than stock, but for me it wasn't. Maybe I had super powered stocks hhahha. I was expecting it was as bright as the LCI signals on the non m's)

I just think it's retarded for an LCI model to have rear LED's and the front signals flashes noticibly slower. Plus it has this egg yolk effect. Now it's cleaned up.
