There is a very small vent directly under the front seats. It is located on the floor and is only about two inches across. If something falls under the seat and slides in the wrong place and direction it can drop into this vent.

I got the car back, the dealership replaced a floor mat seat sensor and possibly something else - im not sure. In the process they found my key fob so all is well
i paid 50 dollars out of pocket for the job - the rest was covered under my extended warranty...which ends in a year =\ |

Actually (I think this is true); all of the European Delivery vehicles must be sold/equipped with a First Aid kit. In the E93, it's under the passenger seat. For the E90/92, on Euro Deliv, it's in the trunk/boot. So, in the event of a rollover, if I'm still alive, I can easily reach the First Aid Kit. In an E90/92, a driver would need to cut through the rear seat to reach it. - V .

Use your other key to go to the dealer and buy another key.
I once lost my phone in the passenger under seat air vent of my E46 M3. Had to remove the seat, part of the carpet, and had to cut into a portion of the air vent. Took me about three hours of work. Such a pain in the ass.

When you reach over for the first aid kit, after said rollover, don't forget to bandage up your ego. |
