Does anybody know what's up with the Jefferson Circuit expansion?

I was driving the Jefferson Circuit this weekend for the first time since April (not in my M3) and they are putting a seriously noticeable extension on the track above turn 4.

Anybody know what they're planning and when it will be done?

Rumor has it that Jefferson will be expanded to about the same length as Main and should be done by Spring (hopefully before).

I was told that they are adding 6/10ths of a mile to Jefferson - with an ability to close off or use the extension. I was on Jefferson 2 weeks ago and it looks like they are adding some elevation and (hopefully) some camber.
