Why???? (ebay)

For example...
http://cgi.ebay.com/APPLE-iTUNES-100...#ht_500wt_1363

Why? People spend $100 or more for a $100 gift card on ebay. Heres a wal mart one too. I just don't understand, someone explain?

Well the first one, no one bid on. Maybe the poster thinks there is a significance having a Beatles graphic on it.

the Walmart gift cards started at $87, saving $13 is better then not saving anything.

Show us a post of someone who bid past the value of a gift card, then you can call them crazy.

An unlikely scenario is that you can stack discounts. The buyers could be using ebay bucks, a paypal coupon, affiliate link discounts, and credit card rewards. And god knows what else is out there. Or like you assume, they are just....

if you click on the bids, you can see it started at $87

If I wanted to buy say a $1k TV at Walmart, but I have a $50 eBay gift-card someone gave me, using that eBay for the Wal Mart one is essentially a perfect trade

but then some might just be crazy

The first one I'd love to know the rationale. I AM that guy when it comes to making a dollar turn into 2...but I can't understand that one.
assuming stacking discounts...say 4% ebay, I don't know how it would be beneficial to pay 8% more.... possibly shill bidders?

Outrageous interest rate to get cash off of a credit card, but it's a dumb idea to go through all of that just to get cash off of a credit card.

as a seller you're still losing money. 9% + 3% in fees.

But what if you had a stolen credit card? Wouldn't this be one of the quickest way to convert into cash?

There is some logic behind buying a $105 itunes card. It most likely went to someone overseas where a $100 iTunes gift card would cost them much more.

I've sold PSN $20 cards for $23-$25 to Brazilians and many other people because taxes in their country are ridiculous.

Can they not deactivate the gift card after the dispute from the owner of the stolen credit card?
