Pwned by new gen Caddy CTS-V
Last night from a dig. by the time I hit 60 he was a full car length and gaining distance.
That thing is a freaking beast. 3.9 sec 0-60: BELIEVE IT.

It's still a GM. Have you sat in one? Horrid finish, cheap feeling interior, but hey, as long as it's fast.
Then there is the whole service dept thing, having been to gm and bmw service depts, bmw wins hands down. They actually treat you like a person, whereas gm always acted like they're doing you a favor by servicing your car. |

I totally agree, I wish GM did something about their interior. I was in shock when I saw the garbage they put in the new Corvette ZR1. The service from GM can't come close to BMW either, when your in the GM waiting room it reminds you a a Jiffy Lube, small tv, stale coffee smell.: |

But at the end, it's still a "Caddy" (old looking and old peoples car). And +1 on the interior and overall build quality. It may be better than most American cars, but it's still American. No offense. |

You could put a jet engine in it and sell it for Corolla money. I still couldn't look at it every time I went outside. The constant puking would make my teeth rot

I actually saw one for the first time in the flesh yesterday. Sweet jesus it's worse than the pictures.
Honestly. I know visuals when it comes to cars are personal taste and all but man you would have to have some defective taste buds to like the look of that thing. |

The best part is that I have the current Motor Trend right here and they say the ctsv is better than the M5.
I guess they are throwing a gm a bone by giving them teh win, but most folks know they're ftl. Cts was .1 faster to 60 mph and .4 faster on the road course but mt made it sound like the cts just blew the doors off the m5. Probably the worst case of biased mag nut-hugging I've seen in some time. |

Well an M5 is what? 5 years old now? And it is about to have 50 ponies added. I love it when car rags pit a brand new car against one that is nearing EOL. In 6 months the M5 will reclaim the crown for another 5 years.

My friend goes gay for these things and I don't see why. Sure, they're fast in straight line. American cars.. what's new? But whoever designed it needs to learn a thing or two about curvature.. the whole car is made of straight lines. Not to mention the interior is unbelievable stupid.
M5 FTW. Can't beat ///M power.

Its currently the fastest production sedan to lap the nurburgring.
So i will give credit where its due. I think they did a great job on it, including the interior. Plus with cars like these will only make BMW work harder to stay on top. A little competition never hurts.

Yeah I am 34 so I kind of missed the whole internets thing and using teh correct lingo amuses me.
Anyway, interior, exterior, quality etc issues aside getting housed by a 3.9 sec car is something else. Especially when yours is 4.5 sec. BMW, if youre listening, youd better step up the game - the whole, "yeah but mine handles the twisties better" only goes so far. And its getting old. Do *not* put in some turbo I6 unit in the next m3. It had better be at minimum the m TTV8 currently found in the X6 M and X5 Ms. In fact start offering the current m3 with this motor now!!! And be #1 in handling *and* straight line!!!
