e/ Search M3F on a previous thread I started a few years back there about the oils.
just ordered off Ebay. 10quarts for $92 shipped.

Great deal, but I'll wager to say it isn't Castrol for those that care about sticking with the brand.

No it isnt Castrol. But there is no need to run it either. Since the re-engineering of the TWS there really isnt anything that cant be found in other oils.

I personally made the switch when i still had my E46M. I noticed that with the new change to the oil my car oil temps were running much higher (using the same gauge as the E9X from being a degree or two to the left of the middle mark to a degree or two to the right with the new and changed oil) and after looking at the new oils structure and knowing BMW recalled the bearings on the E46 and the now popping up bearing issues with the E90 (case by case) I really wouldnt overpay for oil that could be found much cheaper and could be the same if not better protection to the S65 internals.

My dealer charges $160. Not bad at all compared to other stealerships. I plan on running Redline oils now though so won't be taking it there.

Might be Castrol brand, vs the OEM BMW labelled.
