I already have a Verizon Blackberry on that network and sure it's blazing fast (faster than AT&T's '3G' network) but still not as fast as a dedicated WiFi connection. Hell, Sprints EV-DO network is just as fast (speed tests confirmed on both phones) and the 3G iPhone POS runs like ass with full signal on the speed tests.

But then again, not all of us use WiFi just to surf the web or do useless online crap that requires that type of bandwidth.... we have other things in mind . And AT&T being better than the others? LOL

i think buzz is growing for this phone i heard people talking about it at work, of course i pretended i knew little,lol. i hope there is no line for this phone, or campers outside the store for this. i remember seeing on the news people sleeping outside of the nyc apple store the monday before the 2nd gen iphone came out. i don't have time for that

If you want to avoid the lines, I do work for Verizon in the Business channel. I can still do consumer lines though.

Quick FAQ:

Can I give you a discount on the device? Yes, it is discretionary depending on the amount you order and in which structure you do so.

Can I do expedited shipping? Yes, just like anywhere else you would have to pay for it. I can, typically, have it there Monday by 3PM if you are on the pre-order list and don't want to pay. Again, I have discretion here depending on what you order.

Can you talk to me in person? YES, I recommend it. If I set up any new accounts, I will require a number to reach you so I can speak with you. (512)626-9080 is the number I can be reached at.

Am I in Telesales? No I am not. I work in Austin, TX for Verizon Wireless B2B. I mostly work with business in the downtown Austin area, but can work accounts in any capacity (including businesses outside of Texas, consumer lines, employee liable lines.

Will we run out of Storms? I can't speak for the retail channel since I do not work in a store. All of my ordering comes directly from the warehouse, so if you order through me you will be FINE.

Wifi isn't a necessity like Chuck mentioned. Don't have to worry too much about the 3G not being true 3G unlike others.

verizon runs on old CDMA technology. 3G is GSM. oh btw, i live in the same area and my 3G reception is flawless.
