Drivetrain Slop

I just picked up an 08 6mt coupe with 32k yesterday. I went out for a drive today and it seems like there is an abnormal amount of slop in the drivetrain. Almost like the motor mounts may be shot. I don't have much to go on since this only the second e9x m3 I have driven and the first was a brand new 2010 cabrio I took on a short test drive over a year ago. I guess this could be normal...is there any aftermarket engine stiffening?

ALL manual trannies have slop, or you wouldn't be able to shift. However, it seems excessive on the M3 indeed, but mostly due to the clunky/noisy clutch, and jerky engine, especially when cold. But don't worry; entirely normal. You'll learn how to drive it to minimize it .
