Yeah, have 10 plus 2 may-be's. I was gonna wait a bit more (I think we have time since most people seem to want it in January, or mid- thereof) and get a larger or more-updated # of attendees and approach the organizer with the figure.

If & when the group price is negotiated, I'll post sign-up info. It'll be directly with the organizer. Before that, I'm planning to have them come out to a LA meet for a face-to-face; that way, they can answer ya'lls questions, ya'll won't feel like you're dealing w/ a phantom, etc...

Just an FYI, but I think you will have to plan/book the event guys and track much more than a month ahead of time. Maybe tree or so at lease. You should prob give them a call to check.

I want this event to happen either way! I just realized to day that I need new tires.(I only have 9k miles, ugh) I may save my old ones and run my own car there.

Does anyone know, do they have the a shop to swap tires at the track? Or Re you on your own. Im assuming they do.

Yeah, I'm going to contact them and get things moving & more concrete in terms of details.

Re: shop to swap tires at the track, if the organizer is simply renting the track for drifting, track shop may not be available. I'm sure the organizer themselves can change the tires & have the equipments to do so, but for liability issues they may require that you bring your own equipments for the tire changes, I'm not sure. I'll find out.

As for using your own car, your cars do have to pass their tech inspections. I'll get the details on this. But, if your car is a E9x M3, I'm sure it'll pass.

Things are starting to get a bit serious now, but this is where the difficulty lies in. Perspective-participants wants to know when, where and how much before they firmly commit (even then, I think we can probably count on about 70% actually showing up). Meanwhile, the organizer wants firm commitments (hence, they'll know how many people) so that they can nail down the venue facility and set the Group Buy price. It's like chicken & egg.

Anyhow, stay tuned plz.

Perfect (2nd or 3rd week(end) of Jan).

I hope to have some approximate Group Buy pricing here in about a week. Then, arrange for ya'll to contact the organizer directly.

Due to the number of people showing interest, they may have to break up the group into 2 or 3 weekend-days. We'll get more track time that way anyways.

A little update: spoke to the organizer and they're having difficulty securing a venue (track). Rather than renting a facility in onezies or twozies fashion, they're trying to negotiate a long-term contract...

Yeah, and this one's active currently. Plus, (don't want to get ppl unduly excited, but) their price seems a lot better than the first one I was talking to.

Told'em that majority participants want to pay a little extra & use the organizer's car (when my rear PS2 blew last year, it cost about a $1,000 for the rear pair at a damn'd stealer). When the main guy said his 240SX is broken right now, told him to... fix it! lulz

Anyhow, once the schedule is lined up, I think they'll fit about 3 or 4 per weekend day.
