Trim looks good buddy and so does the manifold. Love the color scheme!

I think you should finish off the trim and paint the center surrounds as well as the cupholders and surrounds.

IND did this for me in Lamborghini Black Pearl! Turned out fantastic!

(sorry for crappy pics)

I really like how your plenum turned out! I wasn't brave enough to try something different so I went with all red!

Congratz!

Well..... cold air is better for a supercharger. All signs point to yes.

Hey Charlie. Yeah, Alex is a great guy. I'll be going there for a full detail before Bimmerfest. Hope to see you there sometime soon

All thanks go to Malek@MRF on this one. He allowed me to pre-visualize the concept by creating a bunch of different photoshop mock-ups based off our various ideas and concepts. I knew exactly what the kit would look like even before it went on the car. Great to have that kind of an option. Saves you a lot of money on aesthetic mistakes.

Yeah I should be stopping by Bimmerfest Saturday, but my schedule is pretty busy... Alex is suppose to detail my Jerez Black M3, but it's hard with my work schedule in the service department. BTW you should service your vehicle with me!

Hahaha yeah man we're like the only dealer I feel that's okay with modded BMW's. Also it would be wrong of me to deny claims on a modded M3 when I too drive a modded E92 M3.

Simply phenomenal - I'm glad you went with the satin flanks on the manifold and opted to paint all the way through the vortex. The car with its mods have come out to be fantastic and I applaud your taste and MRF's attention to detail.

I hope to be joining you on the MRF list of project cars very soon. Congrats!

Lessons Learned on Supercharging

For all those who are contemplating supercharging their cars (at least doing an ESS supercharge), I learned a few important lessons in the process that I think might be useful to some members of this forum.

Anyone who has upgraded their air intake or underdrive pulleys, these items have to come off when you're supercharging (at leas as to ESS superchargers). Your underdrive pulley has to go back to stock, and your air filter gets replaced by a K&N filter that hangs down in the front fascia by the brake ducts. That means, that if you're contemplating supercharging, you might want to save yourself the expense of buying underdrive pulleys or an expensive air intake kit, since at the end of the day, those will become totally useless after supercharging.

I'm sure that for some of the veterans on here this might be well-known info, but there are probably plenty out there who would otherwise have no clue. Hope this information helps them Wish i had known earlier. Haha.

A pic of our little Bimmerfest Caravan group - Malek @ MRF (red), JEllis (green), Esquire (yellow), AV9 (black) - at 6:15 am, before we headed out. A few others joined, but hadn't yet arrived when i snapped the pic.
