Two wristwatches. Which one looks better?

I'm thinking about getting this watch. It's a hand wound Made in Germany wristwatch. There are two versions. Arabic numerals or Roman numerals. There are two finishes for the watches polished or matt.

Which one looks better and would you wear it?

The watch cost over 1300 US dollars.

I think the first watch Roman numerals looks better than the second watch and I'm leaning towards the matt finish because polished watches attracts lots of visible scratches.

If it is going to be a daily wear, definitely #1. Great looking everyday watch and a very nice pick. #2 is good if you are looking for one to add to a collection as a dressier watch. As you have pointed out, scratches will occur. I personally think romans are a little stuffy nowadays. For the right purpose, that is not a bad thing. Just not what I would want everyday.

Looks are relative. Every culture, every clique, every person has their own tastes. But... On a scale of 1 through 10, where 1 is Classic Beethoven and 10 is Classic Rock: Arabic numbers with matte finish is an 8 and Roman numbers with chrome finish is more like a 3.

They may be expensive and a good watch but to the untrained eye it could be confused with watches you could get at Wall-Mart

#2 FTW. The face of the first one looks like a SWATCH. Although, it would be best if they had #2 in brushed, not shiny.

Hmmmm....they're both Stowa's. Not many people wear them, makes them original, like Sinn's. Looks like the Marine Original model, one in Roman and one in Arabic. Love the blued hands. not many other watches this price range have that. If you can go with both. One for work and one for going out. But if you can't, buy the first one.

Both look great. My personal taste leans toward Arabic numerals. It is lot cleaner design and it is easy to read.

How much if you don't mind me asking?

The first one is more pleasing to the eyes for me ,being a young man. If you're old then get the one with Roman Numnerals b/c its seems more quaint.

I'd much rather blow $1300 on a CF engine cover for my M3 than on any of those watches.
