Shipping Wheels

Can anyone share what company they have used to ship wheels to Canada? Also, if you could share how you packaged them that would help out a lot. Looks like I have a buyer for my wheels and want to make sure they arrive as they left.

I got my wheels by Fedex ground, I believe they would deliver to Canada. Within the states they are significantly less than UPS is most cases. As for packaging, Fedex used cardboard rounds for the front and rear of each wheel, then wrapped them in thick plastic with some heavy duty ties to secure everything. Was a little nervous about not having them boxed but it was fine and is probably better than a box.

The packaging above is the best way to do it. Do it yourself and save the $$$.

Ship via BAX Global. Best savings to ship to Canada.

I'm not sure about Canada but Fedex Ground is by far the cheapest to ship within the continental US.

As for packaging, cut out pieces of circular cardboard larger than the diameter of the wheel but smaller than the diameter of the tire. Don't put the cardboard directly on the wheel because it will create marring, especially on polished lips. here is a great diy

you can use something like this between the cardboard and the wheel face http://www.uline.com/BL_864/Foam-Sheets
I've also used blue easy release tape on the edges of mirror polished lips in conjunction with the padding and cardboard.

Instead of wrapping the whole wheel/tire in saran wrap I've used enough packaging tape to ensure the packing materials won't come off during shipping.

We have had great success using DB Shenker/Bax Global.

Here is how we package our wheels. Picture courtesy of TireRack.
