PROBLEMS!!!!
How many times doe's the car have to go in for the same issue before BMW considers it a Lemon?
My check engine light is on again for the 3rd times & iDrive says something about emissions. Any experience or input would be appreciated. |

How many times has it been to the dealer? What did they say it was before? What octane gas do you use?

I was told that after the third time taking it in for the same problem, that lemon law can be done...but don't quote me on that cause i don't know if thats official.

The guys at Edmonton BMW have been great thus far. I'm sure that they're nearly as frustrated as I am. I'll be making a call today to get the car in for service again..... |

If the problem persists I recommend you contact BMW North America. The first e46s that came out were having engine failures. BMW came up with a lot of different "causes", until they finally made good on the problem.

Like PencilGeek said -- make sure your gas cap is on tight. You must turn it until it clicks. The car will give you a check engine light when this happens. I know, it happened to me on my E46 M3, but I had remembered reading about this online so it was no big problem. If it gives you problems after this I don't know what to tell you other than to check with the service department.
Good luck.
