Cash is always a good incentive, but it's all the same whether it's a bank draft, cashier's check, lease deal etc. At the end they need to make a profit. I would have a plan B in place and plan to do some negotiating.

Doubt it. Someone on here got 500 or so off invoice for an ordered "stripped" M3. But what you want is a few thousand off invoice. Doesn't seem likely as there aren't any dealer incentives that I'm aware of that would get you 13,000 off.

73k msrp, 65k out the door. If you can pull this off you got a heck of a deal (2009).

That would mean he would be buying the car for around 3k under invoice. Assuming tax alone is over 4k. $65k OTD might not happen right now. Shoot for $63,500 for the car then add TTL.

Actually having the dealership know that it is going to be a cash deal is not an incentive at all and could very well be a deterrent to giving you the best deal on a car.
Reason being is that for every financing deal that a dealership does they make a percentage of profit from originating that loan. (Commonly called "Back End") If the manager knows that he is not going to get anything on the "Back End" of the car sale then where is his incentive to give you a little more off of the "Front End" of the deal to get the car sold. So, though you may have a check in hand.... work your deal like it is going to be financed through them then once numbers are made, agreed and settled upon bring in that you are going to opt to just pay cash. |

I def feel David is your best way to go. I ordered my car for ED through him and it came out to be just about 64k out the door for a almost fully loaded e92, the only thing I didn't get was the rims and the enhanced stereo system. He sells the car and any options you want at invoice. I hope this helps.

I just bought an 09 e92 M3. Sticker was $68,775. I paid $60,800 and he paid the last 2 payments on my leased 328i which equaled about $825. So I actually paid just under $60k. TTL came out to around $5,000 so I financed around $65,000. I put $0 down and got the 2.9% from bmw financial. Payment is $878 a month for 5 years with a balloon payment of around $20,000 at the end of the 5 year term. Total payments are $72,680. $7,600 in interest to borrow $65,000 for 5 years isn't bad IMO.
Cash doesn't mean anything.
