DJ headphones are pretty heavy-duty and are made to be abused. That makes them pretty heavy. In addition to that, Pioneer and Technics ear cup swivels are pieces of garbage. They are pretty much guaranteed to go first. This is the place for all your headphone needs: http://www.headphone.com/ http://www.headphone.com/headphones/sony-mdr-7506.php

I have the S4's and love them. They are really comfortable in my ears and provide excellent bass and good mids and highs. A quality product IMO. And at 80 bucks its not a bad deal. Look at reviews, most are very positive.

Beats are by no mean audiophile grade, it is way to bass heavy like all other "consumer grade" headphones. For $200, I would suggest people to take a look at some of the Beyerdynamic headphones. I recently got a Dt-990 (600ohms) for less than $220 on Amazon, too bad they raised the price back up to $300...

Best pair of cans ive ever owned. I wouldnt buy a different pair if my life depended on it. They are super sturdy, long lasting, and they sound amazing. A bit pricey though i guess... |

I keep hearing good things about the Klipsch S4's. They can be purchased as low as $49.99 right now on Amazon. As soon as I get back from vacation next week these will be my first purchase.

Bought a pair of these (770 pro) for $120, almost new and have never looked back. Anything else I try sounds worse. |

Best bang for buck = Grado SR80
If you're a bass junkie, look elsewhere. Maybe AKG or Sennheiser.

Purchased my DT770s a few months ago and absolutely love them. The build quality of the headset is also better compared with the competition and they are very comfortable, only thing I can't figure out is why they put such a dinky cord with these. I only use them for home listening, so that's not a huge deal, but I loved the heavy duty cord on my Sennheisers

Its made of solid plastic, Aluminum, and Magnesium I believe. This is seriously build like a rock: Video seriously made me cringe. There are some videos where people attempt to bend them and break them they are more flexible then you would ever need them to be i think. and its comfortable, the ear cups are made of memory foam EDIT: Oh and did i mention the cable is totally replaceable. If you dont like the coiled version of it (The one that comes with it) you can get different ones. The plug itself is a mini xlr cable. |

anyone have shure cans? i have a pair of the inner-ear headphones (se210) and they are great. I'd like a good pair of cans though. The pioneer cans (se-mj5) I have been using (got for free) are not comfortable at all after 20 minutes and dont sound very good either.
