M3 E9X DCT Life

Anyone out there had their M3 with over 100k miles? Curious to know how the DCT transmission has held up or if there have been repairs that are necessary. Also, curious if anyone knows the cost of replacing the DCT transmission.

I believe cost of replacing DCT is something like $10K.

Any idea if the clutches in DCT can be replaced? Very curious when they go and cost. Sounds like if you have to replace the DCT it costs 10k plus labor...

has anyone been changing the fluid on some interval in hopes of extended the DCT's life?

i thought i'd read of some people doing as such, and i'm wondering how that's worked out long-term.

I'm pretty sure the clutch could be replaced, as for longevity, I'm almost certain you can get 100k out of it. With abuse..

SMG was good for 60-80k easy..

Richard @ M-World sent out a sample of his fluid to Blackstone (I think he had around 40k, with a ton of track days) and they said that it was barely showing any signs of wear, if any..... If he's not showing any and running at the track every weekend, then daily driving your car shouldn't be a problem and it will last a long time as BMW states....

BMW says it will last the lifetime of the car, IIRC.

They said the same about the 320iA tranny I had rebuilt @ 90K too. I plan on flushing it @ ~ 50-60K.
