Winding Road - IS-F & C63
Anybody check out the latest Winding Road articles on the Lexus and MB rockets. I think that the mighty M3 may have something to worry about - but obviously we won't know for sure until the head-to-heads are completed. But from the initial reviews, the M3 appears to be behind the group! Winding road went so far as to state that between the M3 and the C63, overall the C63 is the better car. Things are getting interesting.

Yep. Saw that. So, then which one is best. Just goes to show that, unlike in the past, these cars look like they are real close in performance and handling. The only way to solve this dilemma is to test drive both cars yourself...and buy the one you like best.

Unlike in the past, other marques besides BMW actually care about this segment.
Competition will only make all the cars better. |

I think the M3 has proven on the ring and overall that for the pure joy of driving it is "the" choice for true enthusiasts. If you need more bling and less cornering ability and you are just loyal to the other brands, I understand that reasoning as well. I like straight line performance numbers but I prefer the car that I can toss in the corners much more. I know that if I was driving an Audi or MB I would feel sick when an M3 pulled next to me at a light, like I had compromised for the sake of a little bling or so called "brand loyalty". Honestly if the MB or Audi had better ring times I would pass on the M3 until I could drive all three. As it stands, I will order the M3 first chance I get and hopefully take delivery end of March first week of April

which one is "best" is subjective. I think that these will all be great cars. Maybe the M3 is not the most poweful, but, to me, thats not what matters. As with all things in life, balance is the most important. And i feel the M3 will win as the best overall car and the most rewarding car to drive. To each his own.
