M3 vs Viper

People all talk about the Vette, but why not the Viper? Invoice on an '06 model is $75k. The new Viper gives you 600hp and 560ft/lbs. One hell of a machine, and in my view, a true exotic. Would be a splendid view in your garage, much less to smash the pedal.

true it would be fun to "smash the pedal" as you say, but explain your title M3 vs. Viper....Viper would eat it alive any day of the week, maybe not in the twisties but you still have to factor in the diff. in HP & torque...so what exactly is your point? I'm a bit lost...were's my Nav...jk

p.s. yeah it has an exotic factor but IMHO just in looks..IMO its a POS...my mech. had one & he sold it b/c all it would do is over heat & his daughter kept getting burned when exiting the car since the exhaust runs along the side...

Well, then on that basis, what would be the point of comparing a Z06 with a M3?

Uhh, Twisties - CHECK

Viper will eat the new M3 in EVERY Performance category. It's a totaly different car built from the ground up for Performance. Luxury, comfort, fit & finish, etc... that's a different story...

Well speaking from experience as I currently own a Viper, they are totally different cars. The viper is just raw power, but when it comes to comfort, fit and finish, and everyday driveability, the viper has nothing on the M3. Not really two cars you can compare. If you are comparing performance, then there is really no comparison, the viper will destroy the M3. However on a track, you really need to know what you are doing in the Viper whereas the M3 is an easier car to drive fast.

thats exactly what I was refering to when I said that the M3 may be better in the twisties b/c its easier to drive fast, turtle vs. rabbit, sometimes you have to go slow in order to go fast...I agree there is no comparing the two...apples to oranges..

I agree as well. My point is why all the Vette vs M3 threads? Those make about as much sense.

Not the same categorys... not the same basis for comparison...

It is like compare a Galgo to a Cheetah...

They are simply diferent...
