Kreissieg E92/E93 X-Pipe
Would love to hear some impressions/opinions on the Kreissieg X-Pipe from people who currently own it or have owned it in the past.
It looks sweet and sounds very exotic (on youtube) when paired to its axle back. My main dilemma, however, is that Challenge makes a piece called the Race + which essentially does the same thing (maybe not on sound, not sure) and I feel like the quality is somewhat equal, no? So is the sound of the Kreissieg that much better to justify the price? Last edited by ki__; 03-27-2014 at 03:41 PM.. |

The sound you are hearing is from the rear section. There's nothing I am seeing on that x pipe that is gonna manipulate the sound to warrant running it. Even the x location looks like other pipes out there.

I doubt there would be much variation in sound among 2 x-pipes mater of the same material and both without cats or resonators. IMO, the difference in price is not warranted. Most if not all the sound comes from the rear mufflers. I doubt there's much of a difference in sound between the challenge race+, kreissieg x-pipe, rpi x-pipe, a mrf unresonated x-pipe and even a generic cheap ebay topspeed pro-1 catless and unresonated x-pipe. (Akra gt4 might sound a bit more raspy or metallic since it is Ti) If you're looking for a specific sound, look into a different muffler. What, if any, aftermarket muffler do you have?

the kreissieg x pipe is only from the secondary cats to the resonators only.. the primary cats will need to be welded onto the kreissieg x pipe. so the challenge race + x pipe will be significantly louder.
