forver Evo owner here...you'll love the M, congrats.

http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-sho...ar-thread.html

biggest difference between 2 communities is I feel Evo is tighter, we'll wave at each other, it's like a brotherhood, the M drivers try not to look at each other. lol

There's one around Island Park, Long Island. I think its the only one in the area. I think there was another one way out east somewhere, not sure if they are still open.

They are pretty neat, just dont use their brushes or their soap its crap. I take my bucket and shampoo plus my own microfiber brush and towels. Its cheap too we did my wifes audi and my m3 for 10 bucks.

Agreed, evom is a great place im sure i will feel at home here you guys have been very friendly and helpful. Im still part of the evo community though im keeping her as a track toy for at least 3 more years. Im installing some more goodies on her as we speak.

Guys the M3 modding has begun.

I ordered this today:

-OEM BMW Black Kidney Grills
-M carbon fiber license plate cover
-M3 keychain
-AFE Intake
-Carbon fiber m3 side blinkers
-I have an appointment this week at BMW of austin for a dinan ecu reflash.

Im still debating on an exhaust i heard the AE and it sounds sick!!! AE and eissenmann are my top choices as of right now what do you guys think?? What are your experiences

AE

Those squeaks are not the door sills, they are the mirror covers. Especially bad in warm weather. Go ahead, wiggle them with your hand and experience the infuriating noise.

BMW supposedly has a fix for this (some felt-like material on the leading edge of the plastic mirror triangle) but I have yet to take my car in.

Anyway, congrats!

Congrats. We seem to have similar tastes in cars. Here is a pic of my car next to my wife's new ride:

It seems we do lol, how does your wife like the audi? My wife is in love with the car, she says its a lot prettier inside and out than the bmw counterpart but she prefers the sportier drive from the bmw. Shes an audi fan lol.

I honestly love audis except they drive to front wheel drive like. I used to have the b7 s4 and i hated it until i changed the center diff to the stasis one.
Here is a pic of one of my ex s4.

My wife really likes her car. It's a manual with sport package so it is fairly fun to drive. Both E90 (non M) and A4 exterior styling are great IMO. I find the interior of the A4 more luxurious though. Feels more expensive and better finished. In terms of driving dynamics, a 328i wins though. And the 2.0T is pretty quick but feels a bit rougher than a 6 cyl.

Sadly, the car has been in the shop for the exact same issue 3 times since we've gotten the car a month ago. The car is back but we're a bit frustrated...

Cheers,

Cheers,
If you dont mind me asking what happened to the car?? Ive had some problems of my own and i am wondering if its the same thing.
Here is what happened to ours:
EPC light turns on during cold starts for around 3 secs and car idles weird then corrects it self and light turns off, dealer has not found the prob. It also had a defective driver side auto window, and if you are going over 70mph you can hear a lot of wind from the driver side door. The nav screen also shuts off if its really hot outside.

Sorry to hear about these issues. That's a shame.

My wife's A4 is experiencing a different problem. She got a red "low oil pressure" light for 30/60 sec a few times going down a steep hill when the car is cold. The dealership has changed the oil pressure valve and now the oil pump. Let's hope that's fixed now. It also is a 2011 A4.

I dunno, i want a fun daily driver. Im just gonna do bolt ons and some cosmetic mods since the evo already hauls ass. My dodge was the daily driver and it was very very boring. Im thinking on keeping her for the evo tow truck or maybe selling her and getting a used diesel truck since they go for cheap.
