AiM Solo 2 DL

Looking to add the AiM Solo 2 DL to my car for this track session. But with the current exchange rate, I am looking at almost $1500cdn for a new one from m-world with their harness. This is a little more than what I'm willing to spend on something I'll likely use about 4-5 times this year.

Does anyone have one for sale? Doesn't have to come with the m-world harness, I can order that separately as that is a relatively low cost item in the grand scheme of things.

I feel your pain, the Canadian peso is so weak right now.. Once you figure the exchange rate, shipping and duties it's basically 2x the listed USD price by the time we get it

Maybe look for a used DL (not 2). Those things are still pretty good. You don't need a M world harness if you have a modicum of wiring aptitude.

OOO details? I'm not in a rush. My first track day isn't till early July. It'll be at a new-to-me track, so likely I won't use it there. Would be fun to hav but also don't want to be fiddling with a new gadget at a new track. If anything I'll use later in July at a more familiar track where I'll be more relax and comfortable.

I'd suggest getting the DL over a regular Solo, but just get a used or NOS 1st-gen to save some cash. As I understand it, there's no functional difference in the data it captures, you just get extra lights and a different enclosure on the 2nd-gen.

I have two SoloDLs and two SoloDL2s. If you have time I can always take one of them to Canada during a visit and ship it out from there.

I like the DL2 more. It's more accurate and the lights are helpful, however, the data quality you get from even the '1' is incredible and it is light years away from assorted garbage like Harrys, etc.
