Be wary of conducting business with this seller. Be sure to conduct your own thorough due diligence as he will lie to you in person as he did to me on numerous occasions. I specifically asked if the wheels had any curb rash or had ever been repaired and as a trusted member of the forum with good feedback I believed him when he told me they had not.

After picking up the wheels I noticed all four wheels had been curbed and spot repaired. If i wanted a beat up pair of HREs I would have got some much cheaper versus paying a premium for these.

I called the seller asking for a refund and he suprisingly apologized and agreed to meet me the following week to take back the wheels. However, he emailed a couple of days later with a change of heart stating that the wheels were sold as-is where-is.

After a trip to HRE they have now been completely re-coated and are in like-new condition. Expensive lesson learned.

OUCH!!! How noticeable were the repairs? This was another reason I decided to buck up and spend the cash for brand new. Expensive? You bet. Worth it? It eliminates the the possibility of heart ache and disappointments. Sorry to hear.

Did you get the same finish?

Haha yes, these are the ones. I'm having a real streak of bad luck. I may want to re-think my trip to Vegas this month.

It was pretty noticeable once I got the wheels cleaned up. The repairs had been done with a glossier black that was somewhat hidden by the brake dust that was on the wheels when I got them. I had HRE refinish them in satin black vs. the textured.

First off i wanna say im sorry for all your bad luck, ie. Read about wheel weight situation, but am i reading it right that you picked up the wheels in person before handing over OP cash for said curbed wheels? Or did u mean the wheels were shipped to you and upon receival the wheels were curbed and wrongly described? If it was the latter statement, then shame on seller. If you picked up the wheels in person, you could have walked away rightfully from deal and probably just lost gas money, just wanted too put my 2 cents into situation.
