Riding on the lugs is a disaster waiting to happen... With our cars, hub-centric spacers are the only ones to really be considered. 5 and 8 mm are notoriously bad b/c they aren't hub-centric and they leave too little hub exposed for the rim to sit properly. Surprised you're not experiencing horrible shimmy and vibrations at high speeds.

You're better off raising the suspension to clear or running a setup with shorter springs as slicer suggested. just my .02

Alright I'm following what you are saying you now, I'll be sure to remove the rear 5mm spacer and push up to a 10mm hub-centric spacer and really dial up the camber and raise the ride height to prevent rubbing.

Thanks for the help!

You're welcome! I post them trying to help out the community but a lot of times the dialogue with other users who have used the part helps me out!

I haven't found any rubber on the fender yet and have been taking some good high speed corners around town, I suspect it will rub if I hit a bump while cornering at lower speeds but that is more of a function of me having the height set a little lower than recommended for a nice stance for all the photoshoots and shows. Even at the current ride height I can prevent rubbing by maxing out the camber but haven't because I don't want to deal with uneven wear for daily driving.

I really enjoy your threads! Glad we are like minded with our wheel set-up!

Thanks mate! I am glad you dont rub, on mine its enough just to turn the wheels and come outside. The wheel is in contact with the fender.

I tried to call VAC all day today, they dont pick up the phone or response to emails - i guess it is one way of running business.. Probably busy building

VAC responded saying that they do not offer a hub extender for the M. They suggested that others may, but didn't specify who.

Pretty sure they don't exist. Turner makes them for tons of other models, but not the e9x M3. Probably for a reason....

Yeah mine definitely are not hubcentric, no vibration though...

I may just have to bump it up to a 10mm or else do the spring mod to the CS's

In his OP he stated he used a "specialty 8 mm spacer from VAC...". If you click on the link I included and you read the three tables VAC has listed, the bottom list shows they make hub extenders for the e9x (may or may not include the M3?). Sorry if I misread his OP.

Sorry if my post suggested Turner made hub extenders for the e9x M3. It would be nice if they did

I run a 10mm Macht Schnell hubcentric spacer in the front to fit 18x10 +25 on KW's. It has the built in "lip extension"

Hate to resurrect a dead thread, but I watched Nick Murray latest video (BMW Meet) and there was a sweet E90M3 with EC-7s that looked awesome.

Check it out.

That is a sweet look and setup. Makes me want to change out my ARC 8 to the EC-7.

Funny. I have a set of clean EC-7s that I want to trade for Arc-8s! I guess the grass is always greener!

I have the EC-7 in 18's in my E92 and love them. Just wish they were gloss black instead of satin
