I'd respond and tell her you'd like to meet up and talk about it over drinks

if she knows where you live already, then you can take her there. but if she doesn't, then do not take her and let her know where you live.

It was an awkward situation. If you could have walked over and said hi that would have been good -- she was with friends and got shamed because she probably exaggerated your relationship. I would just explain the friendship thing and be nice. Avoid anything romantic. Enemies are not good.
