Help re September production changes

I have been reading all about the September production changes for the M3, but the dealer from which I am ordering my car says it has not heard anything about the changes and that if I were to order a car today it would go into production before September. How can I ensure that I get a car with the new changes?

OK, first, there are really no changes aside from the iPod out feature (which from reading won't even be available on the September builds). They've simply renamed a package and the M button is standard - there's nothing new. The engine/start stop feature might be added in September builds, but I pray to God new M3 owners will be able to turn that ridiculous stupid thing off.

2) If you have not placed an order for a car yet, you're 100% getting a September build or later. The last M3s (which were June/July builds) have already been completed.

The factory is on holiday for the entire month of August.

3) If your dealer has a build slow available (usually about 2-3 allocations per month, per dealer) than you might be able to get a September build. If not, you have November, December, etc.

Three dealers I talked to seem to think that production does not shut down for August.

Most dealers (99.99%) are pure idiots and have no idea what they're even talking about.

Production is shut down for August.

You should work on getting a build slot and a production number...

I had a 2002 E46 M3 that was built in August. My dealer had an allocation for a 2008 E92 M3 with an August build, but I wanted a 2009 so I chose a September build. Maybe now that M3 sales have dropped off, they are shutting down in August.

build slot week 35

Just ordered a 2011 M3 two weeks ago. Dealer tells me my car will be built in build slot 35. Probably within the next two weeks. Does anybody know when build slot 35 is? The clock is ticking real slow

There will be a button next to the start/stop button that will let you turn it off. I personally think it is a stupid idea. People aren't buying this car for mileage
