rotiform has a ton of unique designs. if you love a certain style, get it.

Maybe if Rotiform would share information about their production process, testing, and certifications (all objective/quantitative), people would be willing to entertain those as strong enough for the track. BBS, Volk, Forgeline, OZ, and other "racing" wheel companies DO share this kind of information.

Look, no one is saying Rotiform wheels are shitty. They have their intended purpose.

So you cant say they are good for the track without all that testing and data, yet you can say they are bad for the track with ZERO proof or data/experience to back that up?

it should go both ways. again, you guys are saying they are bad for the track with NOTHING to back that up.

That's right. Until I see that kind of information, I don't feel comfortable taking them to the track. That's a personal decision I've made. Safety isn't something I will take on faith.

Exactly!

The track is an extreme environment with extreme consequences. Companies need to earn my trust.

100% agree. There is a big difference between a proven engineered track wheel and a stylized street wheel. Stick to proven brands for the track.

Always to better to assume a street / stance wheel is NOT good at the track because there is no Good Data than to assume they are save because there is no Bad Data.

After bending two wheels from a mild off, and then cracking two others from fatigue later that year on a supposedly track-ready car, I'm of the mindset that nothing is track ready until I see the data to prove otherwise.

Matt Field is SPONSORED by them. They pay him to run their wheels and advertise for them. Of course he'll run them. The other thing is, they will replace all the wheels he breaks with as many replacements he needs because he is advertising the brand.

Normal people don't have unlimited replacement wheels nor get paid by Rotiform to run their wheels.

Can they make a good track wheel? Maybe, but that's not Rotiform's target market.
