Not for me they aren't.....to me, it starts heading toward the Japanese tuner look which I am not after.

I just bought mine and installed them on my E90 Sparkling Graphite M3. They look great IMHO. Because of the car is dark and I have the 18" wheels, I think it adds to the stealth look of the car. On white, I am not sure I like them as much. But on darker colors, I think the Blacklines look awesome. Big difference in my opinion.
