Innotech F1 Valvetronic on the E93?

Hi there

Eager to get the full exhaust for the E93 but i can't see anywhere that its compatible.

Also doesn't say its not compatible strangely.

Just interested if anyone knows the difference underneath (if any) between the coupe and convertible on the M3? This is a 2008/9 M3 also.

This would indicate if it where to fit or not.

I was advised by someone from innotech that if it where not to fit it would be the pipe before the muffler will hit the chassis or under arms.

But it would be a easy mod to fit it. Don't want to go buying it unless I'm sure it will fit even with a mod.

If anyone has any info on the differences underneath between these two models that would be great!

Thanks

I think all e92 exhausts will fit on an e93, and the only difference between e92/e93 and e90 exhausts are the lengths of the exhaust tips. You should be fine. However, I'm sure if I'm wrong people will quickly correct me!

haha cant comment on the e92/e93 comparisons but the e90 is in fact shorter than the e92

Well, if you add an e93 to your collection then you would be able to comment on the e92/e93 differences...

If your correct, what do you mean the exhaust tips are shorter?

Surely I'm fitting a aftermarket muffler so the tips won't be stock anymore.

Sorry just don't get what you mean.

not entirely true. Not all e92 exhausts will fit the e93 and the main reason is because of the rear support bar on the bottom of the car on the e93. Most/all of the exhausts with separate cans will fit both but the one's with one can must be specified.

The e92 tips are about 2" longer than the e90 but with an exhaust with adjustable tips this is a non issue.

Aftermarket and OEM exhaust tips are different lengths for the e92 and e90. I believe the tip lengths are the same on the e92 and e93 - for example, there are two versions of the OEM M performance exhaust, one for the e92/93 and one for the e90.

Thanks for correcting me! Didn't know about the e93 rear support bar.

Well as the F1 has separate cans i hope it will fit?

Is it a relatively easy mod in order to fit it around the support bar if i where to get the muffler?

Well found

"- Unfortunately, the Innotech does not. The cross brace interferes with the tripod like brace and the piping hits the long V. It fits great on an E90 or an E92, but the E93 are out of luck, unless they want to fab something... and chassis stiffening braces are not things I like to change the design of"

Just in case anyone wants to know exactly why it doesn't fit ^

Bit of a shame really as I'm not prepared to change the structural designs of the car clearly.

Love the sound of this is muffler what a shame

I've been exchanging email with Innotech about this for last a few days. They are working on finding an E93 in Taiwan which is very rare to see if they can do anything for us E93 owners. I believe they will make one in the future just the matter of time. Since winter is here anyways, I will just keep waiting and hopefully by sping I will get the first set of Innotech F1 Valvetronic for E93.

I applaud any e93 that runs this system. I was in a e92 last week and with the valves open it was the loudest M I've ever heard! All personal taste but I thought it sounded horrible unless the valves were closed. Sounds nothing like the YouTube videos. My ears were ringing. My car is catless but this system is off the hook.

Reviving an older thread but curious if anyone has found a workaround for e93 owners to run the innotech axle back exhaust.

Not the Innotech Exhaust but look into the Evolve Valvetronic system. I have it on my E93 and love it.

Kreissieg makes a nice exhaust for the E93 as well, about the same cost as IPE and has the EV controlled valves. IPE is by far the loudest, not as "crisp" of a sound as you hear in the videos though.
