That's true, but that's not the same as some of the other "here, let me help you put the brakes on when it's the last thing you wanted" stuff. It takes a while to get used to Brake Assist with a BBK - the tendency is for the ABS to cycle if you slap the pedal quickly but lightly, say when someone steps off the sidewalk into that cross-walk just ahead. Once you get used to it, it stops being a problem.
The really educational exercise with a new M3 is to do a few laps at your local track with DSC set to "normal". The rear brakes start to melt very quickly. |

Have you seen a comparison chart with all 3 series based models where these functions are missing by the M3? The damn datasheets say the exact same thing: DSC... with additional functions. Which could be different.
