Test pipes

Is there any real difference with turner and MS test pipes??

As far as clamps, install and Fitment??

The MS pipes are $100 more so I'm curious to hear your guys opinions.

Thank u

Look into ACM pipes as well (cheaper than MS too). At the end of the day, we are talking about a bent tube, and how the O2 bungs are welded on. The ACM ones were perfect fit with nice clamps that don't leak.

Simply a matter of preference. The Macht Schnell Bypass Track pipes fit perfectly, come with HD clamps and are always in stock when ready.

Let me know when ready for a set and I'll make sure you're taken care of.

Your right, a bent pipe with an o2 bung. Lol

Who's ACM?

Do any of the manufacturers that produce these allow for the factory cat to be clamped back on or do all of these require the cat to be cut at the weld (so that re-installation requires welding the cat back on)?

There's simply not enough material to clamp onto, the catalytic converters would need to be welded back.

So if I run these test pipes, and in the future I have to put the card back on ill have to have a shop weld them back on??

It shouldn't be a problem though right???

But as far as install goes, it's just cutting off the old cat and clamping on the test pipe?

There may be an obvious reason for this, but why not make the test pipes a little longer so that when you cut off the OEM portion, it preserves a section of piping leading to the cat so it is clamp-able?

+1 or Turner!

Driven cars with both and very nice gain removing the factory cats, especially when paired with a tune.

Simply not doable, as there's not a flat portion to securely clamp onto.

The Macht Schnell Bypass Track Pipes and ESS E-Flash are a perfect match, we have combo packages available for those interested. Always in stock.

Turner or ACM because of a better quality clamp design as well as better price. I went with Turner and couldn't be happier. Best mod I've made to date.

After looking at the OEM x-pipe, that makes sense; appreciate the reply!

I vote Turner just because they were the original ones. The ACM and MS are both copies (although it's not like any of them are rocket science - 45 degree bend, flange, and 2 02 bungs

But, Turner is out of stock.

Tough to say, I had a VF620 supercharger installed at the same time . I will say this, before I bought it EAS had a dyno that showed an ESS 625 kit (I believe that was the one) before and after the MS test pipes and it showed +20hp.
