996 GT3 RS vs GTR on the 'Ring
Porsche 996 GT3 RS vs, Nissan GT-R on Nordschleife
Pretty close. How does the 996 compare to the 997 variant? You can see that the 996 held its ground in the twisties, but it lacked the power to keep up in the straights. I'm sure the Nissan could also put the power down sooner thanks to its AWD.

You can tell the GTR is really quick! Without those stupid asses you get all the time that do not know how to give way; the GTR will be long gone:

I think that the GT3 was staying with the GTR is stupid, it's the traffic that's help here. Also I am not so sure the GTR driver was that familiar with the track as his braking and steering input were in decisive.
By the way, both car share almost identical PTW based on factory claims. Sure didn't look that way in the video as the GTR walked away from the GT3RS on anything that looked like a straight. |
