New Honda CR-Z

So I didn't notice anyone posting about the new CR-Z.

My first impressions... Not bad. Looks much better in white then red. Strange styling from the b-pillar back. I really dig the interior. Don't like the fin antenna.

But the big issues for me are how sporty can it be with only 122hp and 2800lbs, and 36/38 mpg for a hybrid is less than stellar.

Should be an interesting car...

Worst angle of the whole car for me:

Yeah I noticed that too. The driver would have to look like across the other side to see it. Major design flat based on the picture (it might be different in real life- who knows).

As for the car, the front looks nice but the back is fugly.

Man, this Honda has too much going on at one time.

Exterior front is nice but the rear is god ugly.
Interior. The center lookes like something that came out of a video game. TOO much bottoms behind the steering wheel and why is the sat nav so far away from the driver?

Why does Honda insist on keeping the split hatch rear windshield?

They fucked up with the transition from semi-concept to production car.

The concept was cool. This is meh. The interior looks overwrought.

The concept looked much better, but was confusing - it looked very sporty, but was destined to be an anemic hybrid. This thing looks like the final design decisions came down firmly on the amenic hybrid side of the concept.

It would have been a great design - 10 years ago. As it is, it looks a rehash of the orignial Insight - with much worse mileage.

Disgusting looking car that looked great as a concept. Why can't honda design some decent looking rims for their US market? The front-end is excessively long for its wheelbase and 33mpg combined for 122hp? what?...

Was it really that hard to just shrink a K-series engine down to 1.4-1.6L and get the same MPG with more fun? Oh wait, you can just buy a Honda Fit. Here's a clear cut example of how unnecessary hybrid technology can be.

Honda's the old Ford. Ford's the old Honda.

The rims are terrible and I'm not feeling the rear of the car. It resembles an insight.

And another thing.

The hybrid craze/fad is a freaking hoax. Purely designed to make the rich richer. As seen above with this particular example it isn't doing crap for good old mother earth. Pssssffffttt.

Sheep sounds inserted here..

At this point. I just want them to make a conventionally powered version cutting the weight and adding HP.

Seriously Honda, your own Civic Si is rated in the 30's for Highway MPG. Certain that there would be no huge loss in efficiency.
