DO NOT GO to Tite N Tidy Racing!
After hearing a lot of positive feedback and how in-expensive they mount wheels and tires, I decided to give them a try. The first time, I had them mount and balance some new tires on my BBS LMR. Everything went well until I realized they didn't give me back my wheel lock. They ended up not finding it, but replaced it, which is fine.
Recently, I went back to get my front tires flipped. Next day, I realized they scratched my wheels!!! Let me give you guys a little feedback about myself. I very, very careful with my belonging. I take A LOT of care of all my possessions. I very anal when it comes to flaws and will hire the best to get it fixed. With that being said, they gave me a BS excuse that my wheels were damaged prior to the install or me running into something on the way home. Long story short, they only refunded my money for the labor but will not own up to the damage. I called a wheel repair company to get an estimate for the damage, it will cost $150! If you guys look at the damage, it's in the inner part of the wheel. There is NO way any rock or anything will damage a wheel the way it did. Anyhow, lesson learned. You get for what you paid for. Thanks for listenin |

Sorry to hear about the trouble you went through. I hate it when shops put the blame on the customer. When I got my LM's, FedEx scratched all four wheels and I never had enough time to spend on making a formal complaint. Stories like these and the sh*tty experiences I have been through as well makes me want to take pictures of everything on my car before I bring it to any shop or BMW dealer. I was thinking of keeping my GoPro on while my car is being serviced at the dealer ever since I went with the blower.
In any case, I'm sorry to hear the crap they put you through and the damage on those precious LM-Rs. On a brighter note, congrats on the FI's though!

That sucks..... What tire size are you running on what width of wheels? The tire look quite stretched on your rim. That could be a reason why they scratched it.

With hat said, don't go to Discount Tire in Bremerton to have tires mounted. They scratched mines way worst!

I thought this was going to be a big scratch. Not bad at all and I have seen this happen hundreds of times. Honestly it would probably cost less than $20 to fix it close to new.
Still sucks they scratched it.

Motoring Unlimited is the only shop that is allowed to touch my P-car (at least mechanically). I had another shop eff'ed my rear sway setup when they installed lowering springs on mine. That sounds about right.

My good friends take all their exotic cars there. In no doubt, they probably do quality work.

Group 2 did most of the mechanical work for me. They also mounted and balanced my RAC wheels for me. For OEM work / maintenance, Strictly BMW was great as well.

Cantrell is also a good shop, they did a great job on my alignment.
I prefer Eastside Bavarian to Strictly BMW.

No, I called and asked for a refund for the amount of having the tire taken off because I was sending the rim out to have the inner barrel replaced. They told me to send them the bill. But the guy who is fixing the wheel say he would fix it free of charge. If they scratch the next set and I send the wheels out, are they going to pay for the rental car for the week it take to repair their mess up, or even the shipping?

there's a metal tool they use to lip the side wall on the tire over the rim. this is what damaged your rim. it looks like this.

What funny is that they showed me this tool and it was covered with a plastic. But that plastic piece moves up and down, which once it moves, it shows bare metal contact.
