That's exactly my opinion, its either you get some real fancy BBS wheels or leave the stocks alone

If you like these looks, you may want to check out the other wheels from these folks. The quality is solid, and although they are very well-known in the Japanese/Asian racing circuit, I've seen a few BMWs wearing them and they looked pretty slick. I like the forge-mag mesh the most.. )

Downside is they're VERY expensive..

Kev, i'm in singapore so would be good to compare notes on m3 developments across the border..
Nice, do you know around when the M3 will reach SEA? Any info from your SG dealer? I'm planning to get this either from Auto Bavaria or Naza (which will probably import it when its out in Europe, downside is I don't get to choose the options or I'll have to wait another few months considering the huge waiting lists)

I'm looking at other alternatives on the wheels, probably BBS / DPE / IForged. HRE is nice too, but its a bit pricey IMO.

And also thanks for all the pos/neg inputs, still haven't decide on the wheels yet. Guess I'll have to see the car in RL, can't wait for it.

chitosing: Yeah Volks do make some nice wheels, but they aren't as popular in the states I guess, the magnesium ones is just ridiculously expensive, totally out of my budget. Might get a set when I get a Ferrari/Lambo...one day...

Maybe for a set of track wheels I think they're pretty cool.

But for everyday no way

I have the same color M, and at one point thought of doing the same thing. My problem is that initially they would look "cool and unique", but I know after 6 months, I would get sick of that stripe. My other concern would be if I accidentally nicked the curb while parking, that stripe would not look good anymore. Aside from that, I think you should do what YOU like...not what WE like. Personally I think that set up looks best on a red M. Good luck.
