I got these rate from my dealer yesterday. I assume most of these are MSRP rates as scheduled by BMWNA, but check with your dealer.

- BMW Extended Maintenance Plan - BMW Maintenance upgrade to 6 yrs/100,000 miles - $1,995
- BMW Extended Warranty - BMW Warranty upgrade to 6 yrs/100,000 miles - $4,875
- Front End Mask (Clear Mask) - Clear urethane plastic film by 3M originally used to protect helicopter blades - $895
- Trident Protection Systems - Ultimate Protection System that preserves your vehicle's appearance - $695
- Tire Care - Tire & wheel repair or replacement - $499
- Lease End Protection - Coverage for lease end charges that may occur on your vehicle - NA
- BMW Gap Insurance - Insurance which covers the difference between payoff amount and insured value in event of a total loss - NA

Of course, I did not opt for any of them. Will evaluate warranty & maintenance options down the road.

what is an "ultimate protection system?"

also curious on what the stipulations for Tire Care coverage would be...curb rash?

Paint sealant, I assume. Ohterwise known as ADP.

Don't know--could be worthi it if that is included, but somehow I doubt it.

i think it's if you get a nail in ur tire they'll repair it. i dont think any of them is really worth it

Maintenance - might be worth if you drive alot >10k. I didn't get it on my e46 and probably spent more than $2k on maintenance.

Warranty - $5g? too pricey. I got from my Credit union a 2yr limited warranty for $1500 with $150 deductable on my e46

Clear mask - not a bad price if includes hood/fenders/bumper.

Tint - too pricey. $300-400 elsewhere

Does the extended warranty include maint or do you have to get that on top of the warranty to cover maint?

I have seen on a Jeep forum that after the new model was out for a while, people find dealers that will discount the extended warranty heavily and post it on the forums. Has this happened with Bimmer dealers?

Not so fast. I will definitely get the tire warranty. The first nail I got in my 330i run flat after only a few thousand miles...was so near the sidewall, no shop including the dealer would repair it. Cost of new tire mounted and balanced...$500. I highly recommend the tire warranty to anyone.

WOW ^ pricey! my 8 yrs / 100k miles on my e46 M3 was $3000.

^how many years or miles is this good for? also does it cover potholes. some people say they have been declined coverage if you hit a curb or pothole. I Just replaced a runflat on my wifes wagon due to a pothole. $360 for the tire. did not have the tire plan.

You can buy a tire replacement warranty at Discount/America's tire for 39 bucks a tire = $160 ... probably the same thing too. And you can put this warranty on tires that are already on the car.

Really? I didn't know you could buy warranty on tires you didn't get from them.

I've used the tire warr. It covers nails and bent wheels. No curb rash.

The company I used buys you a unlimited number of tires caused by road hazzards during the term.

i got it on my 335, and got a nail on the same first day coming home from the dealer... BUT i chagned wheels/tires so it didnt really help

Yeah, I just did this on my Evo. I bought one tire from them and got the warranty on all four (3 of the tires I hadn't bought from them)

do these tire warranties cover a buble in the sidewall from hitting a pothole? SOmeone said they were denied for this.

Paint sealant: Good but a waste of money. Just become friends with the detail guys and they can apply as many times as you want, whenever you want..wink wink.

Tire Repair: I assume they are speaking about flats etc. I only use PS2's and purchase through Wheel Werks. They match prices, such as the low prices offered from TireRack, and they offer tire warranty for $50 per tire. I can't tell you how many flats I've had here in SF, probably 3 to 5 in the past year, that resulted in punctures that could not be repaired. Their warranty stepped right in with brand new tires every time.

Also, i've had sidewall bubbles plenty of times on my PS2's and the manufacturer's warranty covered these(caveat, unless your tread is worn to a certain depth). I recently had a side wall bubble that was past the manufacturer warranty spec, in which case the tire plan from Wheel Werks covered this(caveat, unless past the wear bars).
