The wife smacked a deer

Don't worry, it wasn't in the 335i, it was her Jetta. Oh, and she's o.k., too.

I love how the OP first mentions how the car is, then follows up with the wifey's conditions. lol

Kie, that's a Jetta. VW pretty much kinda half stole Audi's single frame grille (which doesn't really matter considering VW owns Audi).

Lol....Thanks. She was fine, just a bit shaken. The damage isn't too bad. The deer are like small dogs over here in the UK, not like the deer in Georgia or the Carolina's. I'm from the SouthEast US, so it's funny to see these things. The fully grown deer are smaller than a fawn in the SouthEast.

Ugh. Glad she's ok. I hit a deer last fall. It will shake you up quite a bit.

What I found out later is that you can claim them and eat them. I venison, and I'm sure it would taste extra good if it's the same bastard that jumped in front of your car.

Or even better, donate the meat to a food shelter. There are guys that will come get it and clean it for free either for charity or to practice for hunting season I guess? Whatever, hopefully there isn't, but if there is a next time, I'll know what to do.

She was fine...no A-bags. It was a very small deer. I'm currently out of town on business, so she was alone. I do love venison, but I've heard that n the UK, it is illegal to carry away road-kill. I'm sure someone will come along and make a meal out of it, though.

For the trouble of having to get your car's fix, I would have bagged that deer and brought it home for road kill....yum yum deer meat Better eating then mad cows and bird flu for sure...

Glad she is OK.

They aren't very big in the UK....only about the size of a medium sized dog.
