DCT jerk / lurch just before changing up gears?

Hi all,

Something I've been meaning to ask for a long time: on my car, about 1sec before changing up into the next highest gear, there is a bit of a jerk / lurch from the drivetrain. This is most noticeable from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd and 3rd to 4th (in higher gears it seems to mask it).

I can almost liken it to driving a manual transmission car and you dip the clutch pedal quickly whilst it's in gear, that's the sort of sensation I get.

Is this a normal occurrence with these transmissions?

Thanks

I think that's normal. I thought it was weird at first as well.

Haven't checked fluid, but it has complete transmission service about 10000miles ago.
