My White M3 arrives with stock 18s

Poor pic taken on my PDA at the dealers. Ordered the car with stock 18s which Ill be using for track days and replacing with some aftermarket 19s for road use. Probably Breyton GTSs in either black with a white vinyl or polished edge or maybe some breyton spirits or flames (still cant decide).

i recall seeing some shiny ones from some bmw pics, but nothing actually on the road. i think that some were hoping that the US bound M3s would have the shiny 18"s instead of the dark ones, but doesn't look like its going to be that way.

They arent quite as dark as the pic makes out but they are pretty dark. Looked ok actually, well, slightly less crap than I expected to be honest.

From what I have been able to learn it appears that the finish on the US 18's will not be as dark as the graphite tinted Euro 18's, but a lighter, muted chrome shade which is not quite as bright or shiny as the finish on the 19's.

Thanks Lucid, havent taken delivery yet. Wont be until March as thats when our registration plate system switches from 57 (September 07 - end of Feb 08) to 08 (1st March 08 - 1st September 08) so the plate will be XX08XXX rather than XX57XXX where X is a letter.

I did see SN08 BMW for £1000 but felt I would NEVER get let out at a junction in a bright white V8 BMW with that plate on. lol!

Ive bought one of your (US I mean) Jeep Patriot thingies to run around in when the weather is bad or I need to park at the train station, thats coming 1st March too. Luckily over here they have VW diesel engines in, the M is gonna be bad enough at 17mpg and £5.00 a gallon without having two gas guzzlers.

Nice garage Leg: E92 M3 with a BMW race bred V8, and Patriot with a VW diesel (post pics of both side by side). The latter will prepare you for the former once your sleepless nights are over on March 1st!

Nice car! I'm leaning towards the sparking graphite with the 18s because they are darker. If I decide I want 19s later i'd go aftermarket.

Yeah sorry, I was at work on Friday when the dealer rang me unexpectedly, I was there less than an hour later and only realised then that I only had my PDA on me. It really is pants for photos.
