Pedals

Just wondering what kind of pedals everyone has installed in their M3. I can't believe the pedals that come with the car. For that kind of money, you'd think they would put some aluminum racing pedals.

Are these genuine BMW M pedals? No offence but from the picture they look a bit like of Chinese quality... May be the pic though

Both are very nice. Would you guys mind telling me what you paid and where to go them?

Does anyone else agree that the M3 should have come with better pedals from the factory?

I dont mind the factory looks & feels of the pedals, but I just wish that the brake pedal was a bit lower / more in line with the accelerator...

Here is a link to some other one's available from BWM. They are called bmw performance pedals. The gas pedal is screwed in over top of the factory pedal and for the break and clutch you take off the orginal pads and drill holes for these and bolt them down.

I forgot to mention that they also make one for the foot rest. I'm not sure how to install that one. The gas, break, and clutch pedals come as a set and the foot rest is sold seperately. I got mine at the deal but they had to order them and it took about a week to get them.

You can get them here for $115: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=4462

I never noticed before, but after installing the pedals, I noticed that the clutch pedal drops slightly lower than the brake pedal. Good to see from this picture that it wasn't just mine.

That's what I bought. Real cheap, but excellent quality.

I have the BMW performance pedals that can be seen in the link that M34ME posted. The only thing I don't like about them is that cocmeticly they do not match the OEM Dead Pedal. They didnt match on my e46 M either. Maybe by 2020 BMW can figure out how to match them all .

I agree about the pedals should have come w/ the performance pedals stock. I had my dealership install the pedals when they prepped the car for delivery. I have no idea why my ex-girlfriends WRX came w/ alum. pedals for nearly 50k less then out cars.

You can buy the matching dead pedal separate from BMW.

I ordered these from my local dealership. I was surprised to see the gas pedal assembly. It seemed like it would fit the same as the OEM m3 gas pedal. Does this mount above the carpet or does the large box assembly sit down into the flooring so that only the gas pedal is exposed
