JRZ Suspension

Since many of us are looking for ways to go faster and faster on track we decided to post a little about JRZ suspension.

JRZ Suspensions has been known in racing as a top of the line suspension company since 1995. With their great customer support and highest quality shocks we have had good results with their set ups on track and off. With the adjustability of JRZ and their wide rang of dampers they are perfect for street and track use, no matter if you only do HPDE, Club Racing, or professional.

From JRZ

"JRZ damper is a race proven winning design, incorporating many years of experience in gas hydraulic damper and suspension design, applied to race cars ranging from F1, indycars, Grand Tourismo, Trans Am to all kinds of racing and other applications, combined with a through knowledge of vehicle dynamics of modern cars. "

JRZ RS

The RS street dampers have been developed from many years of professional racing experience. The RS damper allows for external adjustment of both the rebound and compression functions of the damper. In addition to the same precise and accurate rebound adjustment as in the single adjustable race damper, the RS are double adjustable. The compression adjustment technology is the same as that of the race version. The RS does not utilize a separate canister. The RS has both the rebound and compression adjustments on the damper itself.

-Secure double adjustable 15 position compression and 9 Position rebound
-Twin Tube Design
-No use of external reservoirs for easy installation and the damper is allowed in a lot of club racing classes
-High Pressure Nitrogen Charge to support the car so lower spring rates can be used

JRZ RS PRO

The RS Pro takes the RS one step further with the addition of an external reservior canister which makes the system very close to the race double adjustable damper. The JRZ RS Pro is a double adjustable monotube damper with remote reservoirs mounted on fixed hoses or in a piggy back set up for simple installation. The JRZ PS Pro is designed for the performance enthusiast who will spend more time on the street and the track who demands crisper response and more chassis support than the JRZ RS.

-Secure and accurate double adjustable 12 position compression adjustment and 15 position rebound adjustment
- Mono tube design
- External reservoir (with high pressure hose or piggyback configuration)
-Gas pressure is adjusted via schraeder valve and can be set between 100 and 350psi

JRZ RS PRO

JRZ Race Applications

For the serious racers and track drivers, the race applications are the top of the line JRZ dampers has to offer. You can choose from Double Adjustable, Triple Adjustable, and Quadruple Adjustable.

Double Adjustable
-Compression
-Rebound

Triple Adjustable
-High Speed Compression
-Low Speed Compression
-Rebound

Quadruple Adjustable
-High Speed Compression
-Low Speed Compression
-High Speed Rebound
-Low Speed Rebound

Below we pictured a custom set up for our E92 M3 that is made to use stock style springs and top mounts.

Thanks! It is our bolt in cage in their right now but we will be taking that out for a proper weld in cage for wheel to wheel competition. We are running OE brakes, since our race class does no allow upgraded ones. We do have upgraded pads, fluid, and stainless lines though.

I bet, the track is definitely where the JRZ shines. I have yet to see in our club racing with SCCA or NASA where KW suspension was used on a winning car. I know they are big in Europe in racing just have not seen it here.

We have not had the chance to use a car with these yet. We thought we were a couple weeks ago but the customer switched directions. The kit is designed to work on the E92 M3 and the spring rates can be chosen by you or recommended by us. Here is a link to the PDF file with more information on the RS1.

In case you haven't seen this post on the 1Addicts site, Advevo has installed a set on his 1M. He was wanting to use the stock spring perches on the struts and not use aftermarket camber plates. The JRZ RS1 allowed him to do this which is an nice option to have. Of course one could just as easily use custom springs and fully adjustable camber plates.

Looking forward to seeing more info!

If you want to understand damping better, get a copy of this book:

http://www.amazon.com/Vehicle-dynami...4443661&sr=8-1

It was published two years ago, and it's written by Jan Zuijdijk, the founder of JRZ (the initials are a give-away).

Thanks for posting the link. Similar to what we have with the pictures of the triple adjustable above. Had them made to use the stock style springs, along with stock top mounts. Ours was for a different reason (race class) but that is a nice option to have for people.

Would they work with Vorshlag plates and swift springs for our application? At this point Im leaning towards an Ohlins set up when they release it in spring, but this could def be a great alternative if we can get some more feedback.

These look extremely promising.
